Part One: Mobile Phones and Brain Cancer?

As a European, I follow with great interest and curiosity the events that occur in the litigious US.  For example, I think of the ligitagation over mobile phone use and potential brain cancer.  While there has been “anecdotal” inference for years associating use of cellular communications (or other forms of electromagnetic equipment), I do not believe there has ever been any clinical findings to substantiate.  Regardless, a cottage industry has evolved to “protect” people from RF radiation and there have been some high-profile lawsuits.

Many communications experts have said that the power output of a cellular mobile phone is too low to be a concern. However, it is right next to your head for most users, prompting the use or headsets and a good cause for the expansion of PAN technologies such as Bluetooth.
