Written by PJ Louis had been a practice leader at PricewaterhouseCoopers,
where he was responsible for corporate restructuring in the telecommunications
and technology industries. While at PricewaterhouseCoopers, Mr. Louis saw
firsthand the deterioration of the corporate technology leadership in the
USA. Mr. Louis realized that a large number of CTOs, VPs of Engineering,
senior executives and mid-level managers in telecom and technology companies
were unable to grasp telecom fundamentals and the business fundamentals
of telecom service provisioning. He became convinced that a course in telecom
basics was needed.

The professional will obtain a foundation of fundamentals including what comprises a network, wireless and wireline industries, manufacturing and carrier sectors, and basic business models.
Telecommunications Basics was developed by P.J. Louis, a 25-year plus veteran of the telecommunications industry. He is the author of seven telecommunications technology-business publications; published by McGraw-Hill and Mind Commerce. He is a former national standards committee chairman. He has been involved in both the development of wireline and wireless standards.
